New Morning Drop-off Procedure.
As students are prohibited from entering the building until 7:40 this year, and with more parents choosing to provide transportation for their children, an unexpected traffic issue on Highway UU has developed during morning drop-off.
To remedy this issue, beginning Monday, September 21, we will reroute morning dropoff for all students to the elementary parking lot. Please enter the high school parking lot, make an immediate left turn onto the road that runs parallel to Hwy UU (where the old bus barn used to sit), and make a right into the elementary parking lot.
At this time, pickup after school will remain the same with pickup for car riders occurring in the high school parking lot and buses dismissing from the elementary lot.
We appreciate your flexibility as we continue to look for the safest and most efficient way of dropping off and picking up our students.

Special Thanks to Mark Vehige and crew from Geeding Construction for delivering picnic tables and to the Lincoln County Fair Board for letting the school borrow the picnic tables. Silex School District would like to welcome Christie Keller to our school family. Christie will be working part-time beside our School Nurse, Marlene Lewallen. Christie is a 2005 Silex High School graduate & resides in Silex with her husband and four children. She graduated with a Nursing Degree (LPN) in 2011. She is excited to be working back in her hometown. Welcome to the District, Christie!
