Due to the potential of icy/hazardous road conditions, the Silex R-1 School District will be releasing at 1:00 p.m. today, Friday, January 12, 2024. Buses will run their normal routes and all after school activities are canceled. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority.

Eye Thrive is coming to Elsberry School on February 7th and Silex students who qualify, can participate in this FREE vision clinic. Eye Thrive is a FREE essential vision service for students in grades PreK-12. To qualify for this service, students must have failed a vision screening or wear glasses already and be on the Free/Reduced lunches or Medicaid. Registration forms are due on Tuesday, January 9th.
