Pike-Lincoln Tech Center students: Reminder that PLTC is closed tomorrow, Friday, February 14th for PD Day and Monday, February 17th for Presidents' Day. Good luck to the PLTC students who are competing in the District Skills competition tomorrow. Students can sit in the library or office if they ride the bus in the morning.

Silex R-1 will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th. The district will be running snow routes. High school drivers and parents, please use an abundance of caution as there are many spots on the highway that are still slick and with the temperatures dropping well below freezing tonight, there will be slick spots in the morning. PLTC is closed tomorrow, so any PLTC students are welcome to sit in the library or office tomorrow if they ride the bus in the morning.
Due to impending weather, Silex R-1 will NOT be in session tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th. Campus will be closed. This day will be made up on Monday, March 17, 2025. Be safe.

Currently, 30.4% of the Senior Class has completed their FAFSA and had it verified by Mrs. Grote. For February, the goal is 40% for a Silex Senior to win a new laptop!!! The class met their January goal of 20% and one lucky student will be winning a pair of AirPods. So, come on Silex Seniors! Let's fill the jar in February! The Varsity girls basketball game at Canton will now start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, followed by the Varsity boys basketball game.
Due to the prediction of a significant amount of winter weather expected in the evening for Wednesday, February 12th, the Silex Board of Education has decided to move the regular scheduled meeting to Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
