Dear Parents,
Tonight is our Beginning Band rental night for 6th grade. We will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the band room. Please enter through the high school doors and report to the band room. We previously were going to split it into two groups starting at different times, but we only have a few coming tonight, so we can start everyone at 6:30 p.m. We will have everything set up and all the things your child will need to start band. If you already have an instrument and just need to purchase the book and care kit, you may come tonight to get those items as well. Please email me with any questions at aburkemper@silex.k12.mo.us

Silex School athletes are now selling Discount Cards to help fund the school athletic department. Cards are $15 and you can save hundreds of dollars on discounts from local businesses throughout the year. Cards expire August 31, 2022. If you would like to purchase a discount card, please email rjames@silex.k12.mo.us or send in a payment of $15 to the high school or elementary office & we will send you a card. Checks can be made payable to Silex R-1 School. Deadline is Friday, September 10, 2021. Thank you to all of the businesses for supporting our athletic department.

The Varsity girls softball team will travel to Union, Mo. on Friday, August 27, 2021 to play Cuba at 6:00 p.m. The game will be played at Veterans Memorial Park, 600 Progress Parkway, Union, MO. 63084. The fields are located in the back of the park.
